  • Bring Our Troops Home….NOW!

It seems the politicians don’t want to talk about Afghanistan anymore. My nephew emailed me from KABUL and said the troops there are starting to voice some strong attitudes and opinions about the politicians back home in the U.S. They could care less about what party anybody belongs to, as long as the Afghan issue gets resolved, and soon. No one there wants the NATO forces and especially the American forces. It’s time to bring them all home….NOW!

  • I agree we have over 900 military bases all around the world and all we can do id think about who we are threatened by and who the next target for war is.

  • i agree though i understand trying to leave some semblance of a society in place sturdy enough to keep Al Qaeda from rebuilding there. i don’t know if that’s possible. i’m glad there is a deadline for being out of there in any case.

  • and if only we had kept our focus on Afghanistan in the first place things would be much different today. i wish i knew why Rumsfeld ordered an elite unit who had Bin Laden surrounded to stand down and allow him to slip into Pakistan. there was an alternative motive going on. i could take a stab at what it was but that would be conjecture.

  • Bravo, and praying for their safe return as soon as humanly possible.

  • I’m way too soggy to comment right now.  Meh…you know what I’d say anyway. xo

  • Yeah, those troops have seen it.  Then they come home and actually blog about what they think.  Then they are swiped from their homes for that freedom of speech they defended.  Yeah, bring them home!  We need them to protect us from the real terrorists in our government.

  • @MrTrololo - That political mind set is really getting old now. I’ve seen it all my life and Washington needs to end it.

  • @TheSutraDude - Folks are still wondering about that.

  • @UncCharlie - as we should be. to think Rumsfeld recently had the gall to join the chorus to say anyone could have made the decision to send a Navy Seal team by helicopter across Pakistan in the middle of the night to get Bin Laden and confirmation they got him rather than use drones which would also have caused collateral damage. apparently Rumsfeld was unable to make the decision to get Bin Laden. Rumsfeld’s decision not to cost us 10 years of resources to find Bin Laden.

  • My husband is full service connected Nam Vet and we agree!!!!
